I come to this community in desperation. I have been searching the internet high and low for information on how to turn sneakers into platforms, and I can find NOTHING. Not a DAMN thing. This is getting really frustrating. So I figured I'd post here, since club kids tend to be rather crafty.
Basically, what I need to know is how the platform part is made/what it's made of, and how exactly it attaches to the bottom of the shoe. If you know ANYTHING about this process WHATSOEVER, I would appreciate it sooooo much if you could educate me. If you have a website I should look at, give me that too. If you know anyone who might know about this, it would be great if you could ask them for me.
Thanks in advance. I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me.

P.S.- If you don't know what I'm talking about, here

first post
okay, this goes back to a discussion i had with a friend a few days ago. i just recently watched the movie "a clockwork orange" sometime around a month ago. it's a great and yet horrible movie i might add. anyway, i was talking with a couple of friends about how i think the main character (at the beginning of the movie at least) could easily have been a club kid. unfortunately neither of them knew what the hell a club kid is, so it was kind of hard to explain it to them. i absolutely love that character's fake eyelashes on one eye. and it's not just his fashion sense that made me think that, it's the little things like the fact that him and his buddies had their own words. for example "droogies" and michael alig had his "skrink and skrod" and other such things. so i got to thinking, maybe it's possible that movie influenced the early club kids a little? or maybe the club kids were already around and the movie helped to further the cause a little? if anyone has any idea or wants to add thier own ideas, please reply.

see you soon, my droogies

Hey! Eve here, new to the community. I'll post pics in a bit. I'm here b/c I saw the movie "Party Monster" and was in love with the costumes. It made me happy. Yay! But, I'm into all things Glam, and all of that. So, here I am!

i wish!
I remember first seeing club kids when I was little on Jenny Jones. I've always been inspired by the club kids of the past(early 90's), and I think that my style today is muchly influenced by them. They always carried themselves with so much confidence, and I have mucho respect for that. It's always nice to see people straying from the pack. Just think, if it weren't for them, pink hair dye might not be so readily accessible to those of us who need it!
